Tues 28 Sept; Strike Day 1
Great to see that Mike Jackson, co-founder of the ‘Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners’ group (featured in the film “Pride”), turned up to support the strike at the WKC KX picket and brought along their banner in solidarity. A really exciting and uplifting first day with healthy and upbeat pickets at all four college sites.
Weds 29 Sept: Strike Day 2
Another absolutely solid strike at WKC today – our numbers are building as more realise that when we stand together we can win.
Tues 5 Oct: Strike Day 3
WKC members popped down this morning to join the RCA strikers on their picket line. Lots of noise and lots of fun.
Wednesday 6 October: Strike Day 4
There was a mass lobby in support of the strike at the Kings Cross centre today. Noisy. passionate and terrific solidarity from fellow trade unionists.
Thursday 7 October: Strike Day 5
Lively (and extremely noisy) picket by 2-legged and 4-legged protesters – we are nothing if not inclusive!
Tues 12 October: Strike Day 7

Fri 15 October: Strike Day 10
As the first ten days of our industrial action draws to a close, staff on the picket lines send out a defiant message to college management: “WE WILL BE BACK! EVERY COLLEGE, EVERY SITE, EVERY MEMBER!”
